Goal

Enable customers to purchase honey online for the first time by designing a calm, trustworthy e-commerce experience that reflects the brand’s nature-driven values.

Business problem

Interest existed, but conversion was impossible.

The Beegarden had an informational website showcasing products and values, but no integrated online shop.

For the business, this meant:

  • Lost sales opportunities

  • Limited scalability

  • Reliance on offline purchasing

The challenge was to introduce e-commerce without making the brand feel commercial or impersonal.

User problem

Users wanted to buy—but had no way to do so.

Users could:

  • Learn about the honey

  • Understand the brand’s values

  • Feel trust in the product

But they could not complete a purchase online, creating frustration and drop-off.

Solution

A calm, human-centered online shop.

We designed a complete e-commerce experience featuring:

  • Clear product hierarchy and simple navigation

  • Image-driven storytelling to communicate quality and origin

  • A one-page checkout to reduce friction

  • Mobile-first layouts for easy browsing and purchase

The interface balances handcrafted warmth with modern usability, supporting trust and effortless conversion.

Process

We translated brand values into a digital experience.

We focused on emotional trust and clarity.

Activities included:

  • Competitive analysis of similar shops

  • Brand value exploration

  • Moodboarding and visual direction

  • Information architecture planning

Rather than maximizing features, we prioritized simplicity and storytelling.

Outcome

A trusted foundation for digital growth.

The result is:

  • The Beegarden’s first complete online shop concept

  • A cohesive visual and UI system

  • A scalable base for future features like subscriptions or seasonal drops

Stakeholders responded positively to the calm and trustworthy experience.

Retrospective

Calm, clarity, and control proved more effective than speed.

What Worked

  • Prioritizing emotional trust

  • Keeping the experience intentionally simple

What I Learned

  • E-commerce doesn’t need to feel aggressive

  • Calm design can increase confidence and conversion

Next Steps

  • User testing with real customers

  • Expansion into loyalty or subscription models
